Inauguration of the Granby Hospital Center’s intensive care unit, the result of a fundraising campaign that raised $10.6M under the presidency of Daniel Pelletier, President of Artopex.
Release of the first Artopex chair for outdoor use.
Artopex wins the Manufacturing Company of the Year award and Daniel Pelletier honored as a “Major Builder” at the Gala Distinction of the Haute-Yamaska Chamber of Commerce.

Artopex inaugurates the new Laval corporate showroom and reveals its new corporate image.
The Time furniture collection receives the Bronze Award, “Furniture” category, at IIDEX/NeoCon Canada.

Acquisition of TEC innovation to add leather and new chair models to Artopex’s product line.
The Elasto chair receives the “Best of Canada” Award, “Products” category, awarded at Canadian Interior Magazines’ Annual Design Competition.
Artopex is the “New Investment Project - Large Business” category winner at the Quebec Federation of Chambers of Commerce Mercuriades Gala.

Artopex Elasto Chair receives the Certificate of Excellence, “Office Furniture” category at the Montreal Interior Design Show and the Institute of Design Montreal Award “Office Furnishing Product” category.

Acquisition of Artopex inc. The company’s name changes to Artopex Plus and enters the American market with its full range of office furniture, through an established distribution network.

Acquisition of “Saro Metal” to add metal filing cabinets to the company’s office furniture line.

Acquisition of “Le Chaisier”, to add chairs to Artopex’s office furniture line.

Acquisition of a new plant in Granby to relocate production and the company’s head office.

1980

Daniel Pelletier and his brothers, Maurice and André, launch Pro-Meubles, a laminate office furniture manufacturer.
